Experienced Land Development/Municipal Engineering Drafter

 Job description

Our rapidly growing Calgary office is seeking to add a draftsperson (design experience an asset) to our team of professionals. Residential and commercial Land Development engineering and Municipal Infrastructure design are key areas of focus at Lee Maher Engineering. We have a wide variety of projects that impact and improve the communities we work in. The successful candidate will be responsible to utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare drawings that relate to municipal, land development and stormwater projects which include, but not limited to, stormwater, sanitary, and water systems, roadways and other surface works, site grading, and some mechanical infrastructure relating to these systems. Our office works on a wide variety of projects so working on both land development and municipal infrastructure will be required.

We provide the opportunity for a home/office blended work schedule if desired after a discussed training period.

Our desired team member will have a Drafting technology diploma (or related diploma), registration of some level with ASET or APEGA (or the ability to do so), have a minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in land development/municipal drafting, and have direct working knowledge along with actual project experience using AutoCad Civil 3D and it’s functions for drafting, pipe networks, surface creation/earthwork takeoffs, corridors, alignments, profiles, etc. You must have direct Civil 3D experience working on residential and/or commercial land development/municipal projects in North America to be considered.

  • You are available to travel to jobsites in Alberta and occasionally out of province.
  • You have sufficient previous work experience in municipal engineering and land development engineering
